The Bayle family is above all vine growers; it loved and knew the working of the soil. An easy-contact, with a friendly spirit, it has won over Normandy with its wines, village after village.
The Carreau familly has developed a proper wine making culture, that of processing, vinifying, ageing and protecting its wines. The story began at Château Barbé in 1852. The two families came together 100 years later, when Jeanne-Marie and Claude married. This was the start of the rise of the Bayle-Carreau Vineyards
We as cousins, Cyril Jourdan, Charlotte Carreau and Aurélien Broly, the 7th generation, have gradually taken over the running of the business and we are committed to raise each château, while respecting its identity and by setting a level of excellence.
